October 2021
Hello everyone,
Cycling...
The month of December, which was initially expected to be sunny, did not live up to its promise, the tomatoes and raspberries had a little difficulty in ripening, but the blackberries proliferated; 47 years after the publication of the album "Groseilles 74", we harvested enough to replace the myrobolan plums and cherry jams of last year, and the new plants installed in the rock garden have shown splendid colors.
My bike is an electrically assisted bike rented from the transport network of the agglomeration of communes, ; we?ve rented two of them for rides in the Combrailles; very practical, electric assistance, the area does not lack steep hills. During our rides, we were surprised to discover in a pretty village a statue that looks like a Moai from Easter Island!
Next week, we will spend a few days in Corsica, to make a short pilgrimage to my father's native village, Vivario, with two of my children, Teiki and Vaimiti; I will tell you about it.
And then we'll get into New Zealand time, on the occasion of the publication by Gallimard, on October 14, of our new photo album dedicated to the land of the Kiwis. You already know that Francette and I have fallen in love with this country, with its little known but spectacular landscapes, and its friendly people. If you can't find the book at your local bookstore or multimedia center, please ask them to order it.
Our tour of lectures planned for November had to be postponed until spring due to the health of our director, to whom we wish a speedy recovery.
Best wishes to all.
Antoine
