December 2002

Hello everyone,

If you happen to by passing through Paris, France, this month of December, it will probably be for the Paris Boat Show, Salon Nautique de Paris ; It's a meeting point for those who sail the planet's oceans and those who dream of doing the same. Whether they come to buy a boat, boating supplies, a book , a video, or just to dream about it all, the show's visitors all have a special light in their eyes; it speaks of boundless oceans, exhilarating crossings and wonderful ports of call...

I for one, will be until December 15th autographing books, video and CD-ROMs on the stand of Bateaux Magazine; then I will fly back to Polynesia to meet again with my catamaran Banana Split. In the meantime I'm working hard, editing the video and audio discs of the shows I've had the pleasure of giving at Le Petit Journal, in Paris' famed district of Montparnasse.

Then I'll be in Polynesia for a while... but do not get the idea I will be resting ina hammock all day long, as my first occupation will be to haul out the boat and do a lot of maintenance work. Then Banana Split will be ready to sail the Pacific !
