December 2010
Hello everyone,
Hello everybody !
Begun in October among heavy strikes in France, our lecture tour Connaissance du Monde ended in a snowstorm over St Etienne; we had difficulty in getting back to Paris: the photo of me in front of snowy fir trees is not photoshopped, it was taken at an altitude of 800 m in the French Massif Central mountains, and I quickly put my polar jacket back on !
In spite of the cold, our hearts felt warm at the enthusiastic welcome which about 20000 spectators gave us this year on this tour. I thank again all of you to all for your support. A few snapshots : a short stop in front of a poster of my sponsor (two Antoine for the price of one); an excellent meal, full of mushrooms, in a restaurant in the Velay mountains ; Francette asleep, smiling, in a hotel during the tour, although she so far had found only 13 figures of her devilish sudoku..
And then, just for fun, a few memories of the first days of the month, spent in Japan, portraits of Japanese young girls, rather different from the traditional image of the geisha girl.
Our mission now carried out, two new films, Return to Madagascar and Distant Islands of Polynesia), and the new series Naturally finally published and delivered to our shop), I leave next week to finish some works aboard Banana Split in Tahiti, before heading again towards the Tuamotu, where Francette will join me just before Christmas. I shall send you sunny photos; and in the meantime I wish you on one not too cold December, and Christmas and New Year's holidays apt to warm your heart !
Goodbye.
Antoine
