October 2024
Hello everyone,
The Year of the sea… and AI to defend it !
From September 2024 to September 2025, France is celebrating the Year of the Sea a national initiative to raise awareness of the vital importance of the oceans
The United Nations Conference on the Oceans (UNOC-3) will be held in June 2025,
We kicked this occasion off in style at the Artistique in Nice on 27 September, launching a major cultural operation that will run in the city throughout the year.
We'll be continuing this from 2 to 6 October at the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle, where I'll be celebrating fifty years of sailing around the world, and every day I'll be signing the new edition of my Practical Guide to Setting Sail at the Espace Media.
- On Wednesday 2 September, I'll be on France Bleu La Rochelle and FR3 at 8.45am.- On Friday 4, I'll be presenting a brand new 26-minute film, Cap sur le Paradis, giving the keys to a successful sailing trip from France to our favourite anchorage in the world!- On 10 September, I'll be taking part in the Festival des Aventuriers de la Mer, in Lorient.- On 11 September, I'll be the guest of Wendy Bouchard on the national radio station France Bleu.
Then we'll be heading back to the Paris region and the Auvergne to prepare for our new tour of CGR cinemas in New Zealand from Nov 13th to 30th, with our film on New Zealand, which, like all our films, is guaranteed to be free of Artificial Intelligence! However, for the eleven new versions of Touchez pas à la mer that you'll soon be able to find on Spotify and other platforms, artificial intelligence has been called upon... and the result is stunning... It's up to you to tell us which version(s) you prefer!(FYI: I don't know if you can find my first album on Spotify, but you can find theremy 1987 album Touchez pas à la mer!)
The 12th track is the version of my song recorded in 2009 with a number of Tahitian artists.
See you soon
