January 2022
Hello everyone,
A strange month of December
First of all, thanks to those who made the effort to come to the Paris Boat Show, which received, of course, less visitors than usual, but the atmosphere was warm, both on the stand of the bookshop Le Chasse-Marée, in the company of various authors - including the winner of the recent Vendée Globe - and on the stand of the Globe-Sailor whose whole team welcomed us warmly, even if the restrictions did not allow to realize the karaoke, where I was supposed to sing Touchez pas à la mer.
After the show, other reunions, with the TV5 Monde team: "L'invité" by Patrick Simonin, an excellent program, but also "Librairie Francophone" broadcasted on France Inter; I also recommend you to read the new book of our friend Yves Bigot, director of the station, Katrijn, a novel set in the sixties in London and San Francisco. I devoured it in one sitting and couldn't put it down.
And then we went back to the farm, for a curious range of temperatures and clothing moods, the landscape completely frosted, up to the chickadee's nest of the old mailbox which appeared on the cover of my album Groseilles 74; a variety of clothes, fleeces and down jackets for the cold days (down to -10°), and much less clothes to celebrate a 31st of December exceeding 17° at our altitude!
Meanwhile, Banana Split remains stuck in Australia, where the situation does not seem to improve, but let's not despair!
Courage, therefore to all of you, as I was saying on TV5Monde, I wish us that this ugly dark cloud which has been spoiling our life for almost two years will soon fly away, and that the new year will bring you essentially a lot of happiness.
