Hello everyone,
Gardening and gastronomy...
A (probably) last foray into winter finally gave me the opportunity to film our refuge under the snow, on a cloudy morning... two hours later it had all melted. Since then, spring has arrived with surprising temperatures, so everything starts to grow and I work with spade and the brushcutter, without forgetting a couple of passing tractors. I have found a photo of my friend Gérard Bousquet (Salut les Copains) dating from about 1969.
Speaking of friends, a "special friend" message for Hassan and his family's new shop: if you live in the Paris region and are looking for exotic products, from Kadaïf to fufu or farofa, from mangoes to papayas, go to Boulogne-Billancourt.
And since we are talking about gastronomy, we had the pleasure to receive in the farm my daughter Vaimiti and her companion Jean-Rémi, a double Michelin starred chef, Francette let them use her kitchen for a while, and the result exceeded all expectations, like the "blanquette of sea bream" and the "floating island", or the VGE type soup under its puff pastry crust...
Still no sailing in sight, because of Covid, but I am preparing an article for the magazine "Le Monde du Multicoque"with wonderful pictures of distant islands of polynesia.
