June 2010
Hello everyone,
Another busy month, and during which I?ve touched at least three different world:
Good news for our Italian friends: Sereno Variabile, a very popular program on Rai Due television, will broadcast this summer, in late July and late August, two special programs composed of excerpts of my films. I went to shoot the introducing scenes, along with the Tv anchor, a very big star in Italy, Osvaldo Bevilacqua. We visited the beautiful town of Alghero, in Sardinia, from the fishing port to the spectacular Caves of Neptune, bristling with stalactites and stalagmites, and even ... a candy store, all colors and shapes: for example as we are in Italy, in the form of spaghetti or lasagna.
I also celebrated with the team of my sponsor, Atol, with tall and beautiful Top Model Adriana Karembeu , our sponsor?s 40th anniversary, as well as the retirement of the cooperative?s chairman and founder, Gerard Coulon, and the evening was rich and moving.
And then I flew back to Polynesia, and returned on board Banana Split, just in time to greet my friend Jacques Lainé, a director, who has long worked for French Television?s very famous Ushuaia, and who led my first steps when I started editing my first film in 1991. He finally reached Polynesia at the helm of his small monohull, Extrapôles, and I am showing him some of my favorite spots the Gambier archipelago.
