October 2015
Hello everyone,
Spring slowly returns to Queensland, with a few impressive thunderstorms and sunny days still a tad cool at dawn; still hauled out at the Rivergate shipyard, I see slowly shorten my list of ?things to be done?, a particularly long one this year; the boat?s interior begins to look really good with its new ceiling and blinds. From time to time I look up from my work and I see passing close to me "city ferries", public transport catamarans, or even gigantic cruise liners overloader with happy cruising people.
To compensate for the industrial atmosphere of my current environment, every evening at sunset, I take a long walk in a beautiful little park that has been created at the foot of the huge Rivergate bridge; Australian vegetation is interesting; Here the only trees that lose their leaves are those that have been imported from the northern hemisphere; and Australian flowers look like they?ve come from another planet !
Definitely my famous day with Andy Warhol and Velvet Underground?s singer Nico is of interest to some people ; after the Warhol Film Project, it?s the Philarmonia in Paris that asks me, for an exhibition scheduled next April, the video of this amusing encounter; for those who read English, the event is told in great detail on a website we?ve just discovered.
I mention it also of course in the album that Gallimard is publishing this month on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of my hit songs ?Les Elucubrations? ; you will find all the details about this book, and our new film, devoted to the Caribbean, on the home page of antoine.tv.
