October 2011
Hello everyone,
Far from the sea...
Although our series of films is called "Once upon an island" (and "once upon an island HD? for the ten most recent films), we sometimes during our filming get away for a moment from islands and from shores, in Cambodia, Botswana or Quebec. One of our next films, to be published in the fall of 2012, describes a fantastic crossing of North America, visiting on our way the most beautiful sites in the area, natural parks of the United States such as Bryce Canyon, the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley, autumn in Quebec, the lighthouses of New England, and many other "Wonders of North America" ; it is to complete the shooting of this film that we are now at the north of the United States : for a week, we have filmed in South Dakota (Mount Rushmore, the giant heads of presidents), Wyoming (Buffalo, in the footsteps of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Calamity Jane and Buffalo Bill) and especially in Montana: the beautiful cities of Livingston, Helena and Missoula...
and the wonderful parks of Yellowstone and Glacier, at the Canadian border, which we will cross tomorrow to end our trip with a visit to the Great Plains, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, then to Toronto and then to Quebec, for the apotheosis, which we hope very colorful, of autumn and the Indian Summer.
An apotheosis of color, we already offer you one this month with the extraordinary volcanic phenomena of Yellowstone, these amazing eyes opening onto the center of the earth, and named Morning Glory, Chromatic, Grand Prismatic ... You will find in this letter some of the wonders photographed by Francette and filmed by yours truly ... patience, you?ll just have to wait a year to see the film that will come of this.
In my next letter I will discuss at greater length our new photo album which will be published this month by Gallimard "An Animal Paradise" as well as our new film, devoted to islands in the Indian Ocean: Reunion, Mauritius , Seychelles ... and perhaps also, believe it or not ... the project of a new album of songs ... yes, yes! Patience, so ...
See you soon
Antoine
