Hello everyone,
There's been a bit of excitement these days in our Tuamotu lagoons, and a few visits, like my son Teiki's ,who has spent a few days aboard Banana Split with his girlfriend Cassandra. The setting of the photo is one of the "waterfront" tables of a small guest house in Fakarava ... Tasting a plate of Tahitian "poisson cru" (lightly marinated raw fish with coconut milk) at one of these tables is a feeling that I heartily recommend ... at low tide!
Also a visit by our friend Jacques Lainé, who has directed many episodes of famous French televison "nature" program "Ushuaia" for Nicolas Hulot, and who has guided me in my first endeavours at film-making : he had filmed in 1979 on board my schooner Om in the Maldives; in Brittany in 1987 for the video for my song Touchez pas à la mer ("Hands off the sea"), and he was on camera when I broke a leg in 1994 on a river in Vietnam. We took advantage of his presence to shoot some sequences for a future portrait of yours truly, especially boat-to-boat shots under sail, and his wife Marie-Lorraine cut a fine figure at the bow of their boat Extrapôles.
