November 2008
Hello everyone,
October has been for me another busy month : while Banana Split waits for me in Polynesia, I have crisscrossed the roads (and railways) of France for :
-a big TV show for Swiss television, where I have sung two of my old hits.
-A series of talks : 22 in October, 26 more to come in November and December; it's an opportunity for me to show my film about Madagascar to French audiences, but also to pay a visit to some spots in France I like, such as the mountains that overlook the town of Grenoble, the island of Groix (where we stayed in a small, beautiful house surrounded with flowers) or the island of Batz, not forgetting a few great meals in restaurants in Brittany or other places.
-Presiding over the Festival du Film de l' Aventure Océanographique at the Oceanopolis in Brest, including a warm afternoon with numerous children asking questions, and a video connection with a hospital to include hospitalized children in the afternoon.
The autumn of 2008 has been especially bright in the French countryside : although they didn't reach the intensity of the reds shown in Quebec or Vermont when the Indian Summer comes, the foliage's colours have been wonderful over our mountains in the center of France or along the roads we took : we even sometimes left the highway to cross service areas planted with especially bright plane trees.
I have been forecasting their coming for a long time, finally will be published this month : the second volume of my memories (in French, though) "Au bout de mes rêves", as well as my two new films ( in French, English and Italian) dedicated to New Caledonia and Austral Africa ( published by Warner Home Video on November 19); I will appear in various radio and TV shows in France, and continue on my tour of France for our talks.
In the meantime, I wish you a great month of November
