January 2013
Hello everyone,
What happiness, after a period of three months engaging in promotion for my CD and my book, singing at Paris? legendary music-hall, the Olympia, a lecture tour, etc.., what joy to find ourselves again aboard Banana Split, hands full of grease as I take care of winches lacking a little maintenance, engines still demanding attention, electricity and computers full of surprises ;in a few days we will see how sails and rigging behave, since we take to the sea soon for the Tuamotus. My friend Bernard, who had undertaken to bring Banana Split to the Gambier archipelago, for us to join them there for Christmas , had to turn back after two days on a very messy sea, when an essential component of the autopilot had an impossible to repair failure; Bernard had to struggle two days to get back to Tahiti, through three meter waves and downpours ; as far as we are concerned, you know me, we will wait for more favorable weather!
A few more appearances on French and Italian television showsclosed a beautiful series: France's Telethon with very popular stand up artist Frank Dubosc; other programs recorded in October or November: CDAujourd'hui (personally, I loved the filming of the show and the enthusiasm of the audience, I was disappointed by the sound mix, which left my voice alone far ahead of the orchestra), and especially my song "Les Arts du Lit" in vry famous French Prime Time show by Patrick Sébastien ; then the year ends on a high note, extremely popular show "Vivement dimanche" ( I can't wait for Sunday) by Michel Drucker, with singer Laurent Voulzy, actress Laetitia Casta, comedians Chevallier & Laspalès, Stanislas and Calogero and the other members of the group Circus, writer Nathalie Rheims, and Bernadette Laffont for the promotion of a movie that made me laugh...
So thank you to everyone who came to see our film "Islands of the Indian Ocean" in Connaissance du Monde lectures in the first half of December, throughout the southern part of a France tteeming with "father Christmases" , as we say in French, as well as one "Mère Noël" ( "Mother Noël" ; Oh yes, we have virtually bypassed the Paris Boat Show this year.

A period of heavy rain seems to have come to an end in Polynesia, the sky cleared and we spent a few days in Marina Taina, and went last night to listen at the Pink Coconut to talented singer Teiva LC ,very popular in French Polynesia : he appeared in my 2009 video my video "Do Not Harm The Sea"
We returned to Papeete"s wonderful market place for a coconut drink and to buy some flowered pillowcases, a large pot in a Chinese shop, to cook some lobsters future, we"ve loaded the boad with food, plenty of water and other more taxed liquids ( which we enjoy with moderation and pleasure); ingredients for delicious pastries that Francette will not fail to perform in our lagoons at the other end of the world of the world, so we're virtually ready, I'll tell you about it all soon !
